Jern-Fei Ng QC Talk – 30th April 2019

Arbitration Ireland welcome Jern-Fei Ng QC, who will give a talk entitled “The New Silk Road: Belt and Road disputes: a view from Hong Kong” on 30th April 2019 at 4.30pm in the Distillery Building. Places are limited so to book a place click here.

The talk looks at issue such as the opportunities available for legal and ADR professionals in light of the growing trade between Ireland and Hong Kong. Many Irish companies have recently been opening in Hong Kong using their base as a gateway into China and the rest of Asia.

Attendees will benefit from a broader perspective on BRI disputes, not only the view from HKIAC. BRI and the more recent initiative on the Greater Bay Area are at the heart of Hong Kong’s policy to develop its position as a global dispute resolution centre. Much has been done in Hong Kong in support of BRI and there are plenty of information, figures, initiatives and projects that can be shared with the community in Ireland.
