Edited the first edition of theAnnotated Cambodian Code of Criminal Procedure in conjunction with the Northwestern Law School’s Center for International Human Rights (April 3, 2014).
Contributed to a white paper on the Dominican Republic’s nationality law as it relates to Dominicans of Haitian descent and the arbitrary deprivation of nationality (used to advocate before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights on behalf of the denationalized Dominicans of Haitian descent). Drafted in partnership with the Center for Equality & Justice in International Law and the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice (August 14, 2014).
Represented potential war crimes witness in negotiations between ICE and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda regarding deportation terms (January 2011).
Contributed to amicus in Boumediene/Al Odah v. United States coordinated with the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law School. Case addressed whether the provisions of the Military Commissions Act of 2006 that bar Guantanamo detainees from pursuing habeas corpus petitions violate the Suspension Clause of the U.S. Constitution, and whether the detainees are entitled to pursue habeas claims in federal court (August 24, 2007).
Analyzed anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering regulations in connection with U.S. 501c3 non-profit that raises money in the U.S. to support educational scholarships and community development projects in Belize (2005-present).
Conducted stake holder analyses related to charging fees for various industrial and recreational access to Belize’s coastal zone and drafted proposed legislation for the UNDEP funded Coastal Zone Management Authority in Belize (Summer 2003).
